"Storefront Ninja" and other made up job titles
I’ve worn many hats in the past. Not gonna bore you with how many and what each entailed but I can tell you one thing: there’s been plenty, and there’s been plenty of reasons why I don’t wear any of those hats anymore.
Currently I work for a tech startup that creates visualizations of zoning codes. I’m the nerd who gets to read the codes and whisper to our nascent AI so she can process insane amounts of data for local governments, developers and architects. https://gridics.com/
In my own time I’m a small business coach. I made that job title up. I also made up “storefront ninja”. Neither means much more than this: I guide small biz to become better versions of themselves.
Sometimes that requires design and sometimes new products. Check out my website if you want to read more and even see testimonials of small business owners I have helped. https://storefrontmastery.com/
I provide vision, conceptual design and product development services for small businesses and (more often) to the organizations that assist them: downtowns, main streets, economic development agencies and BIDs (or SIDs as they’re known here in NJ).
I’m also an author. I literally wrote the book (ok, e-book) on small business storefront design. It’s a handy little book that goes over the parts of storefronts and what they mean to cities. You will like it. And it’s only $49. https://successfulstorefronts.carrd.co/
All the constant learning of so many years helped me to distill most of it into a very cool system for small businesses to envision, create and implement their own ideas. Check it out. It’s pretty awesome. The Storefront Accelerator is a packaged micro consulting deal, which includes a consultation with me to chat about design, products and service, as well as my three e-books that will help business owners create epic customer experiences. https://gumroad.com/l/happymeal
Or you can just get the design manual and do it on your own. https://storefrontmastery.carrd.co
If any of what I wrote has added some value to your week please feel free to forward it and let the small business owners in your life in on this little secret: there’s a storefront whisperer in town.
That’s me, in case you were wondering.
