Wise, welcoming cities are built one storefront at a time
The kindness of the holidays manifests in the quaint scenes of good people wrestling violently over the last discounted 4K TV.
In less quaint news, small, independent businesses often can’t afford to put their stock on discount.
To help them, I am increasing the price of the Storefront Mastery playbook to $99.
Yes, you read right. I’m increasing the price.
You see, since I first got interested in Place, back in architecture school in 1999, the work of Fred Kent and the Project for Public Spaces has been an inspiration.
Their ideas motivated me from early on to look at more creative solutions to make our cities and towns more friendly, comfortable, inclusive and kind.
My work as a storefront design consultant tries to build up on those ideas by bringing beauty into the conversation of Economic Development.
This Black Friday and Small Business Saturday I am asking for your help to further that conversation.
The Placemaking network is now a global space for top practitioners who believe in the power of Place, under the umbrella of PlacemakingX
One of their focus this coming year will be the ecosystem of streets, which of course includes new and different ways to look at storefronts and help them activate their Placemaking power.
PlacemakingX, of which I am a member, is funded through The Placemaking Fund. This week, through Black Friday and Small Business Saturday, I will donate 80% of every sale of the Storefront Mastery playbook to The Placemaking Fund.
So please consider purchasing the playbook this week, to help a small business owner create an unforgettable storefront, but also to help PlacemakingX reach more people with their message.
Please follow this link to purchase the Storefront Mastery Playbook at the special holiday price of $99 and donate 80% of your sale to the Placemaking Fund. The price will return to the usual $27 on Monday, 30 November.
Thank you and I hope you have a happy and safe Thanksgiving.
